So you still think Behringer Sucks??

Then you may not have a same view with the first class film director in the world, to be specified, James Cameron-the latest winner of Best Director and Best Movie (Avatar) in Golden Globe Award.

If you enjoy the Avatar movie and the sound effect, bingo!! Behringer Mixer form part of the production and it doesn't screw the quality as you expected.

What is the moral of the story??

Well, as a seller, i am always surprise that musicians/composers who is expected to have a higher creativity with open mind but rather, close minded. There are still plenty of musician/composer who are still very brand conscious, too brand conscious. They are presuming certain big brand guarantee the quality and certain brand sucks. As a seller, I am happily fulfill your needs daily, you want BXss i sell you BXss, you want KXrg i sell you KXrg. The Fact is, on and off I still got buyers came back to me the very next day for things like the KXrg's key doesn't work, or WhXrfXdale's microphone not-functioning, BXss adapter fused within 24 hours... etc and etc. So Am i saying those big brand are not reliable?? neither do i mentioned that.

Behringer started it cheap and good product in late 90's, they are one of the pioneer who tae the courage to shift their product line to China OEM factory and impressed public with unbelievable cheap price. Unfortunately the side effects in uncontrollable product quality and disposable life span. These made a good laugh within the industry and jeopardizing their own brand. I can still remember how worst the situation is when i start selling Behringer's gear in mid 2XXX, where almost 5% of item i sold need to collect back for warranty claimed and i almost need to test all the products before i send it out.

Nevertheless, the production keep going on until the day where they own the big factory in China, so call Behringer City that employed 3000 employees to manufacture their own product and do their own QC. Until the point, the quality issue is just like "boom" and gone (touch wood)

While other competitors are quietly following Behringer footsteps, which is sending their product to China OEM factory to make their thing, they are suffering and facing the same issue that Behringer used to have, i.e. the inconsistent quality.

I am not defending Behringer nor jeopardizing other brands, i sell all these brands and they contribute well to our profit, hence i got no reason to do that.

The moral of the story is, if you still wish to establish a stereotype mindset, you better make some twist :

  • Forget about the brand, it no longer secured anything to buyer

  • Be" Country of origin" conscious rather then "Brand" conscious, under normal circumstances, if the product is produced in 3rd world countries, you need to be more alert in term of quality.

  • Check whether the product is manufactured via OEM factory of by the brand's own factory, if it is OEM, you shouldn't expect too much with the quality. Hence, you need to judge within the risk of breaking down with the price that you paid for

Yes, keep on judging the gear by trying it, listening to it (that is fundamental). Stereotyping?? yes, we can't avoid that but you may wish to change the way you look at it, else, people will make a good laugh on you at your back. (yes, i confess, i do it very often)

Just my 2 cents ^^

Lastly, watch the following video and read the comment in youtube, you are pleased that musician out there are much more objective comparing to us ^^

cheers
